APRIL @ BAR LA CAGE

Greetings one and all.

Fancy Fish & Chips on Friday? Go on, spoil yourself. It's terrific value at just 160B. Please order before 19.00.

On Saturday 26th at 20.30 we will have romantic candlelight only. For one hour we switch off all the lights and show our support for the Earth Hour incentive. Then at 23.30 we will enjoy the University Boat Race live from the BBC on the big screen. Oh, how English! Come on in and cheer on your favorite team.

As there is a lot going on in the first part of April I thought you might appreciate some advance notice.

The 1st of April marks the completion of four years with yours truly as the Guvnor! My how time flies when you're having fun. If you are anywhere near and can possibly call in to help us celebrate, please pop in. You are very, very welcome. As it's a Friday there will be the usual Fish & Chip supper before the fun and frolics get underway. Bring your invitation and we'll enter it into a free prize draw. I really hope you can make it.

Our monthly Fun Pub Quiz, usually on the first Friday will, for this month only, be on the 8th. You have an extra week to swat up and organize a team.

This April I am mindful of the residents among us and how the month can be difficult and a bit gloomy. I am going to try a Chili Con Carne Supper night, and another German Sausage evening as well as the usual Wine & Cheese special. It's nice to have an extra reason to pop in, not only for a drink. Along with the regular Friday suppers, these evenings are very sociable, and a great opportunity to make new friends.

We will be having a Songkran party on the 17th. and then the bar will be closed for two days, to let the boys celebrate their New Year and for yours truly to have a short holiday. Everything is back to 'normal' by the 20th. just in time to have a terrific St. Georges Party on the 23rd.

The TPO takes a break in April so no concert trips. However, details for the two May concerts are already up on the website www.lacage-pattaya.com

Our regular concert trips, along with the other day trips that we have recently ran, have proven very popular and have been fully booked. Apologies to those who were unable to join us on trips last month. To reserve you place at any of the concerts or indeed any of the day trips, please call in and pay the required deposit as soon as possible.

I am looking forward to April. It's a special month for me. Wherever you are reading this, I hope it's a special month for you as well.

Have a happy Thai New Year and I hope to see you soon.

Mike and the Team.
