185 Pattaya men conscripted to the military


More than 600 men from the Pattaya area recently attended the annual conscription event at Banglamung Community Centre.

"All Thai male nationals at age 21 must submit themselves for the draft, although many are turned away for not meeting physical requirements, excused for educational reasons or dismissed due to too many applicants," writes Vittaya Yoondron at www.pattayamail.com

This year's attendees were from Nongprue, Huay Yai, Nong Plalai, Khao Maikaew, Takientia, and Pong sub-districts.
